Pre-Adoptive Evaluations
I provide pre-adoptive psychological evaluations for potential adoptive parents. These evaluations are often required as part of international adoption, as one portion of the screening process. Pre-adoptive evaluations often involve a clinical interview as well as administration of a personality inventory. As countries vary in their requirements, I will request documentation from your adoption agency to ensure I tailor the evaluation to fulfill all requirements. Following testing, I will score the personality inventory and integrate this data with the interview to write a summary report, guided by your agency’s requirements.

In addition to fulfilling the country and agency requirements for these evaluations, I strive to make them as helpful as possible, which can include providing psychologically relevant cross-cultural resources, or educational discussions around parenting. For questions or more information, please don't hesitate to contact me!

Pre-adoptive evaluations are able to be completed in one visit of 2-3 hours. Evaluations can be done in-person in Bexley, Ohio, or virtually (agency permitting) to those residing in PSYPACT* states. The flat fee for pre-adoptive evaluations is $500 per individual ($1000 per couple). This fee is inclusive of the clinical interview (individual and with partner), personality inventory administration, data analysis, written report, collaboration with adoption agency, and notarization of the report.
